| I bought this as a gift for my son for his 18th birthday. He's loved it and we show it off to whomever we can. One night I was having a dinner party and the power went out, no matches, so I called him up, he raced over, and we lit candles with the laser. Got a big wow from the guests. |

| Wicked bright and the beam is super clear in the night time, sometimes clear in the day. Burns the skin and cuts electrical tape easily. points out stars and buildings, as well as insurgents, quite nicely. |

| Haven't managed to light a cigarette yet, not for lack of trying. Also hard to get scope rings to fit, 1" rings are a bit small and need to be machined. |

| The spyder IIGX has been invaluable in astronomy. Coupling it to my telescope makes it a great tool for scanning the night skies. It also has remarkable burning ability and I have had a number of raised eyebrows with balloon popping demonstrations. I thououghly recommend this well built unit. |
